Hello Everyone,

Just picked up a 2020 Summit White Bison with the baby DMax in it last week. So far its been everything I've dreamed it could be.

I've been a car guy my whole life (last vehicle was a 2019 TLX A-Spec) so the transition to this truck has been interesting.

I work as a fabricator/wiring specialist for an engineering consultancy firm, so naturally I had to start tinkering with it immediately. The first thing I noticed was how terrible the lighting was in this truck, so I went and bought GTR lighting all the way around the truck. Made a huge difference.

With the rear tail lights, I fabricated a ballast resistor bracket so as not to get hyperflash.

All tucked away, nice and pretty like.

Being a perfectionist, I'm not 100% happy with the install, and plan on switching from 2 50w6R resistors to 1 100w3R resistor and making a splice harness for it so I can ditch the gross T taps.

Future plans are to get the DuramaxTuner 5 pack tune with the DSP4 switch and then possibly the D44 stealth turbo next.

After that, probably the high mark fenders from AEV and some 35" tires to go out roaming with.

All in all, this truck has been a dream vehicle of mine ever since I saw it back when it was released. It feels amazing to drive and I think I will probably never own a car ever again.

Hope to learn a lot from this community, and share my knowledge as well!

Thank you for attending my TedTalk. 馃槀

Very nice. That harness labeling is up to mil-spec.
Thank you!

Technically its "close" to mil spec, the clear heat shrink isn't Kynar, just some cheapie 3M FP-301, but it will do for this test harness.

The V2 Harness will be full DR-25 in replace of the braid and shrink boots at the breakout transitions with all the wires being M22759/32 Tefzel and all that jazz. I also found some backshells for the Molex MX150 connectors, so that is a plus!

Is it overkill for a splice harness? Absolutely, but its what I do for a living. 馃槀

Update on the 1 resistor?
Seeing how you do this for a living. Definitely leaning towards you know what it is you're talking about. Only reason I chime in at all, I've seen conflicting information here and there to sum that up.. "Has to be two resistors"
I'd love to pull the trigger on the last incandescents innmy zr2. But literally today I made my first ever harness more of a mechanical guy myself. Not realizing all the recommendations via upfitters ughh... not terrible tho id sat, i digress.
Would love to get a for sure answer on this if possible. Cheers
