I have a 2018 Colorado Z71 with an Integrated Brake Controller that has an issue nobody else seems to have. When i hook up to a trailer, i get the "Trailer Connected" message. I can tell the trailer brakes are working and i can override and lock the trailer brakes up but i cannot adjust the gain. When slowing down to pull in my driveway the trailer brakes lock up. The output display is always gray. Its as if the gain is set all the way up and cannot be adjusted down at all. Anybody with issues with the ITBC, its either completely non functional or messages are displayed to check wiring or service ITBC. This has been like this since i bought the truck 2 years ago but i don't pull trailers with electric brakes often, so I'm just now needing to deal with the issue.

While it's not a colorado we do occasionally have this issue on the work truck with the OE brake controller. It usually stems from a problem with the trailer itself but normally pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery will reset it. Sorry I don't have a better solution.

I did check the fuse but I will try resetting by disconnecting the battery in the morning. Thank you.
