My stock Colorado sound is HORRIBLE. So, I'm thinking about getting a 7" DVD player with built in amp, to replace my stock head unit. Will this improve my sound quality drastically? Or, is it the speakers that need replacing? I'm not looking to blare my music. However, i would like to be able to turn up the music and get good quality.

It will help but if you replace the speakers also you'll notice even more.

thats what i was referring to. The only drawback was the ipod interface, i did not like it and is why i went with kenwood. In my older cars with cd players i had eclipses and loved them because of audio controls.
