If one scoop is good, then two scoops have to be better! Upgrade this baby to functional ram air and watch out! Speed and style will be yours.
I grabbed this off the keystone website under the Colorado hood. Are the scoops for real when it comes to the ram air? Or is it all just for looks?

Thanks

Yep, the Good Hood is functional if you have the intake to go with it!! The hood is made to work in conjuction with Airaid intakes or the good hood intakes.

How much of a difference with the intakes? Is there a bigger difference with the hood and intake over just an intake? Never heard of the good hood intakes. How is it? Are those the only two intakes? Could the hood work with say the AEM? Any effects with rain/snow getting into the scoops?
I know you probably don't see any snow, but maybe you might have heard any.
Thanks

There isn't much of a difference in power while normal driving. You might pick up a HP or two but nothing too crazy. The sound of the engine in full throttle is awesome though. I noticed that the most. It has been raining here in So Cal these last few weeks and I haven't had any problems! As far as intakes, those are the only ones that will bolt right up to where the air is directed from the scoop. The hood might work with other intakes such as AEM and K&N but you will have to make modifications to have the proper sealing.

im using the K&N intake and it spits the air out to exactly where the filter is. however, shoulda went with steel hood. fiberglass is crap. plus you can get little cracks that look like a spider web in it if your not careful. I.E. following a dump truck, closing your hood to hard. you have to be very gentle.

Finch, do you have this hood? If so you were able to use the other intake then the ones recommended? How do you like it other than it being fiberglass?

Thanks

this question is for the guys that own the GoodMark cowl hoods, Did you guys have any problems installing the weather striping? It seem like the tab hole #2 (from right to left when facing the truck) is off by about an inch. Anyone else have this problem?

yo scottyd, i got the good hood, dual ram air. it is functional and the k&n works damn well with it. other than the fiberglass being crap, and it cracking and not fitting before the shop charged me 900 dollars (ya it was the cheapest est after everyone looked at the hood) to fix and paint it, i love it. it looks good, but 760 for hood, plus 900 for paint. too much. go with a cowl induction. u gotta go steel. they are worth it. this hood is not worth the look.
