How about update us on what happened with the issues that you posted in your other thread. http://coloradofans.com/forums/67-technical-questions-tips-how/316121-c-problems.html

A couple of things can cause the temperature to be lower than desired. One is a thermostat that is stuck open. An obvious indication of that is a temperature gauge that doesn't rise above about 1/4 on the indicator. If your temperature indication is near the half way mark, the thermostat is probably not the cause of your problem.

Another problem with these trucks is that the temperature and mode controls are cable operated. Sometimes the cable can become disconnected from the bellcrank on the case or the back of the HVAC control. Sometimes the outer sheath on the cable will get disconnected from the retainer, at either end of the cable, Sometimes the bellcrank will "jump" a tooth and the temp door will not move fully in one direction.

You can check the end of the temp control cable by opening the glove box door, pushing in on the stops and lowering it all the way. Look in and to the left and you should see this:

Notice the outer sheath in the retainer.

To check the bellcrank on top of the case you will need to remove the trim around the radio/HVAC control. I can't remember if the radio or the HVAC control will have to be removed for visual access, but this is what you should see. One of the pics is full cold position and the other full hot. Just check the position of the teeth.

I don't have pics of the cable installation on the back of the HVAC control, but the connections should be similar to the connections at the bellcrank.

the heater on my truck is not working properly. It only blows cold air. What will be the problem besides checking the coolant?

Probably wouldn't hurt to mention what year your truck is. It appears you have a 1st Gen truck & have been provided some feedback relating to a 2nd Gen truck.
