Not surprised, there have been a number of CP4 failures. The EcoDiesel also uses the CP4 injection pump and has had random failures as well, same deal. Pump eats itself.

However, I think they'll have a hard time winning that case simply because the vast majority of those injection pumps didn't fail. If they truly were incompatible with American ULSD then most pumps would have failed.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out but I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed about the small failure rate compared to the volume of pumps in service. I was thinking along the lines of pump not completely failing, but that debris causing injector failures. Just thinking hypothetically in regard to these little engines.

FWIW, the 2.8 doesn't use the Bosch CP4 pump that is part of that lawsuit. They use the Denso HP4 pump, same as the current 6.6 Duramax.
