I've got an oppointment tomorrow to get the stock muffler cut off and replaced with a Flowmaster super 44. Has any else done this on the 3.5 ? do they like it ? I'm doing it on my standard cab ZQ8 more for the sound than performance but a little more flow always helps. I think the 3.5 has ample power in 2wd standard cab form but I can see where a 4wd 4 dr would be sluggish. I tow a little but light loads like motorcycles and maybe double trailer with 2 three seat jet skiis would be the heaviest. What do you guys/girls think ?

I found the Super 44 in a Summit catalog and its just over the 40 series and a bit more open. Its on the truck now and sounds pretty good at idle, slow cruise and 55-65 but wide oped throttle sounds a little " less tuned " I'm not sure how too describe it. As far as performance I can't tell by the seat of my pants but I hope the lost weight will and increased flow will help with MPG's. I like it over all. Parts and labor was 160.00 at my local place.
