Makes no sense to ship a 2x4. Can sell just the bolts and clip mounts. Of course you can pickup the whole thing in Morris Plains, NJ if you prefer.

Yakima mounts with integrated lock. No janky secondary lock required. No 2x4 required. Clean and simple.

Love it and that is where I was going next. But then got a Yakima Dr Tray hitch. 34 pounds, can be removed and no more front wheel fussing/bed hopping.

Did you just take the Yakima mounts and install them to the front bed rail? If nobody bites, I may do that with the mounts I have.

I did. Drill a hole on the bed side and also the cab side (careful!). Stainless steel bolt with a nylock nut. Works quite well.
