I have a 09 Colorado and have had "No-Start" Pass-lock issues for several years. I have spent hundreds on replacing parts to no avail. I finally got tired of waiting the ten minutes to start so I did the old "cut the white/blue wire" trick. Seems to have solved the problem but now the pass-lock light is on constantly (covered w/electrical tape) and I also wonder if I will have a problem if I disconnect the battery. Adding a switch between the white/blue wire seems counter productive since with the switch closed I'm back were I started and if the car won't start opening the switch may trip a code preventing it from being started at all.
Any suggestions

Get a custom tune from Supermodulation over on 355nation and bypass passlock.

It’s not exactly cheap to get a custom tune but mine has been 100% worth it.

will the passlock light go away?

reason I asked, I had the issue on my 2011, and at the time, some one was doing a "tune" to by pass it but the red light would stay on.

I’m not sure since it’s already on but mine has been bypassed for almost a decade and I’ve never had any lights.
