Pretty much this. I'd still like to know what the rating is. But I'd be shocked if it's anything other than 1-2 MPG different from the previous models - especially the ZR2/AT4-X. I'll bet those are lower if not the exact same as the 2nd gens. It is kind of amazing though... the 4 cylinder it's like they don't know how valuable a good v6 and tune are. I suspect it could be a dump of the 4cyl's they mass produced for the 1500's or they would be sitting on them for years. I'd be shocked if later year versions didn't offer a V6.

They both have a 2" lift over the LT's and WT's. Or at least the WT's for sure. Someone on these forums posted that info a while ago and I believe it says somewhere in the sea of details in the builder etc etc. Not sure about the Elevations or any of the GMC's though.
All the GMC products have the factory lift. The Chevy WT, LT, and Z71 do not. The Chevy ZR2 does.

I was going to buy a new one next year, just realized they redesigned it. I would be interested in a V-6 or diesel of some flavor. Not really interested in a turbo 4 cylinder. Hopefully as stated above, they will see the value of a V-6.

They are using the same engine that they have been putting in the Silverado for the last few years. People have stated that it is a very capable engine. If it is putting up better numbers than the V6 then why go back?

Ist one is a Z71 and they don't come with a lift.
So I went to the Houston Auto Show last night and they had a Z71 and TB on display (was hoping they had a ZR2 but nope). The Z71 said nothing about a lift on the info card but from what we could tell there was no difference in ride height, it looked like it had a lift. The TB did look to have a little wider stance and more aggressive tires. We didn't have a tape measure or anything but visually we couldn't tell a difference.

That’s what I wondered. That 2.7 appears to be a good long stroke engine. The base version produces max torque at 1200 rpm. Just off idle.
Good stuff.

I know they look close but in the order guide the ground clearance on the Z71 wit no lift is 8.9". The TB with lift is 9.5" and the ZR2 with lift is 10.7". I guess the way they set up the suspension matters also.

But what is the difference in tire sizes amongst them as well?
The z71 to TB difference of 0.6" could be related to wheel/tire size.

They both come with 265/65R18s standard. Maybe there are some skid plates that reduce the ground clearance on the TB with the lift.
Order guide shows this as standard on the TB and not avail on the Z71.
"Suspension, Off-Road, 2" factory-installed lift
and wider chassis"

Went past Wenztville Assembly a little while ago. Here's pix of part of the first batch! I counted 39 total in this group. They seem to be mostly Colorados. Word from an employee on the line is about 100 trucks came off the line this week. I expected a slow start to let workers get used to the differences from the Gen2s. I imagine these first trucks will ship in the next 2-3 weeks, barring any problems found on the line.

Thanks for the photos! Be real nice if that employee could sneak you in and get a shot of the window sticker so we could see the MPGs.

They outfit the ZR2's across the street, rail cars full of trucks(6 per rail car) have been leaving the plant all week..
