Thanks. here's the private - now public message I sent you. I'm only publicizing it because someone might have already made such a vid and could share it. Z xx should obviously be Z71 in that "private" message.

Do you have an updated vid on installation for a 2018 Z71 Duramax CCLB? We are VERY happy with our mirrors, but had to pay dearly to get Chevy to retrofit them. If I had a good vid (including how to deal with the door panels), then I might pull them off during the month's we're not towing and reinstall the factory mirrors. We live in the city and few extra inches on each side would be nice..

Very well made, explanatory vid. Sure wish that I would have had it 3 months ago. Could have taken a weekend get away with the missus for what I gave Chevy to install. The only ominous missing link in the vid is that centerclip alignment about a minute towards the end. In my experience, such before/after takes usually edit out lots of fumbling - which would, for me, be lots and lots of fumbling. But all told, with your vid, I might go back to stock mirrors for the winter, after I winterize the Escape 5.0TA....

Hi Bob-

Yeah - for the DIY install, a little bit of fumbling on the learning curve is expected.

Afterall, you aren't a professional body/interior installation specialist, and these sorts of installs require jumping in with both feet and getting the hang of it as you go to a certain degree... but certainly doable for most DIY guys with some explanation.

Sorry we didn't have the video for you sooner, but as we've just brought in the Clearview line, it's new for us as well.

If we can be of any further assistance, don't hesitate to drop us a message.

Regards,

Hi-

Thx. for the inquiry.

Regarding the chrome mirrors, we do not carry those in stock but can special order them from Australia for you.

Just send us a message with your model/year/trim and what features you want on the mirrors and we’ll get back to you shortly with a quote and ETA.

Please note, chrome finish mirrors do require regular chrome polishing and maintenance to maintain the finish and combat fading. Also, some users have reported sun glare from the chrome finish in certain driving situations. As such, the chrome mirrors carry a 1-year warranty (as opposed to 3-year warranty on the black.)

For these reasons, we stock and recommend the black mirrors, but we also understand owners want chrome as well.

Thanks.

Wonder if the full size chrome covers will fit.
CT
We don't sell chrome covers for the mirrors so we wouldn't know if a 3rd-party chrome cover would fit. However, as we mentioned in the response above yours, we can special order a pair of the chrome mirrors from Australia.

Cheers!
