...Now with the tires on!...
Cool pictures! Like Playboy centerfold pics...lol...all it needs is the staples in the center! (Edit) I saved the picture and then zoomed in to see the tires are BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A's. Nice. I'm interested in getting some tires with a little more aggressive tread like yours. I like 'em! (y)

...go for the 265/70 instead of the 265/65...
Isn't the 265/65 tire size a bit "wider"? I would think it provides more traction over all types of conditions: mud, snow, gravel, sand, etc. So, just curious, but why go with the narrower tire?

They are the same width, but the 265/70 is an inch taller than the 265. I was bummed when the shop said it was too big of an increase so they wouldn’t mount them but I got a pretty good deal so I went down a size.

Here's mine doing what I bought it to do here in CO - drag my dirt bike up and over Vail pass, past all the ski resorts to Utah. This turned out to be a nasty storm, drove over 100 miles in 4WD up on the mountain, it sucked, but old reliable got me from Denver to Green River UT.

Had to work hard and fly & buy out of state to get the Bronze color in a Canyon SLT with a Cocoa/Dune interior, diesel 4x4 and the long box all off the lot at a good price. I do use my long box, lots of "stuff" goes in there, could use more space sometimes. It is packed tight under the bed cover with gear, tools, spare wheels, etc. Even brought a garden hose and my electric power washer, as I knew the truck and bike would be disaster areas by the time I got over the mountain.

Speaking of the bed cover, the BAK "Revolver" bed cover is awesome, It is flat and sleek when deployed, strong enough to set things on, and it easily rolls up into a tube when bed access is needed. Aside from AT3 tires, window tinting, bed cover and bed lining and mud flaps the truck is otherwise externally stock from an appearance standpoint.

Thanks! I found the cover used and for sale on this site. Very pleased with it! Here it is in the rolled up position. The truck is a base for fun operations :)

Here is mine on the drive home from the dealership when I purchased it. It is a 2016 Colorado WT with 5900 miles, but had 3700 miles when I got it one month ago. My first choice was Rainforest Green Metallic, but the Brownstone Metallic is a great color too.

I can't seem to edit my original post. I added my picture again.

Will be an ex-Brownstone owner tomorrow. Mainly due to multiple transmission problems and reoccurrances and just sick of it. Especially bummed because of the mods I've done to it. Oh well, wil start over and have some fresh ideas. I still love the Brownstone. New one is a 2020, same set up, crew cab long box V6, Satin Silver.

Dang! That's too bad dude!
Question, was your 17's engine an LFX or LGZ?

LGZ, I think they all were in 17. Good engine. Transmission was the problem. At first did that shudder, new TC fixed that, but then had other issues. Flared on 1-2 upshift, really intermittent tho. Waited awhile and brought it back. Said they used an older type fluid and fluid change should fix it. Didn't. Then noticed this. I back in to the garage a lot. In the morning, I'd put it in gear to leave and almost refused to move. Would slowly creep ahead and slowly engage. Again not every morning. Sometimes would do it after work too. To fix the 1-2 flare they then tried the valve body, this was the third attempt to fix the transmission. Flare seemed to be fixed but still doing the slipping when put in gear. Waited a few weeks, checked prices on 2020s and 21's. THEN started doing the 1-2 flare AGAIN. Could have continued to have them try to fix it or even gone Lemon Law, but this is a small town and not changing brands either. Just a lot went in to the decision to trade, but seriously you wouldn't believe what I got for a trade in. I did go through the reasoning on the trade with the dealer and may have been extra generous because of how I decided to go about this.

Love the earth tones... wanted a smokey quartz or brownstone but it wasn't in the cards. My S10 was pewter and stayed clean looking for a long time. Stuck with white for now.

It's Mister Brownstone to you, buddy 🤪

Alright so every other color seems to be doing it, so no reason we shouldnt be showing off the best color. The more mods the better, I want to see how options and accessories look on this color, and I am sure most others will as well.

Love my 2016 “brownstone” V6, even though it has a few nagging issues that I have posted about. I’ve had dozens (Maybe 100’s) of compliments about the color!
