Hey, I am new to ColoradoFans.com but have read many threads that everyone has posted!!
I have an 2005 Chevy Colorado
i have lowered it 3" in the front and 4" in the back using DJM Lower Control Arms in front
and 4" lowering blocks in rear, also i have a set of DJM drop shocks for the rear.
I have a T-Rex Billet grille, which includes my bumper grill as well
I have a Sir Michaels Steel Roll pan
Street Scene Mirrors
10,000k HIDS
Smoked Rear Taillights
Tinted Windows. etc. etc.

What i'm making this post is about is, well... I WANT TO GO LOWER (eventually bags when i get a larger cash flow lol)
I have read in many other threads where people have used 3" lowering leaf springs from Belltech and then notched the frame
I know i can get 2" lowering springs in the front to give me a total of 5" lowered in the front. and if i could get the Belltech leaf springs
in the rear it would give me an over all of 5"/7".

My problem is i cannot find these leaf springs anywhere!
i've even checked the Belltech website? and still nothing. if anyone knows where i can get these or an alternative to help me get a total of 3 more inches
in the rear that'd be awesome!!

you wont be able to use 2" lowering springs with the djm lower control arm. i have the same 3/4 setup and bought the djm 2" lowering springs. first off their springs are the exact same as your factory. same amount of coils and even once they were on they didnt lower it any. i called djm after seeing this and they said absolutely do not put springs on with the lower control arm's they will mess up your angles and pretty quickly cause major damage that will end up costing you hundreds if not thousands.

for a company to tell you you bought their product and to not put it on... i think id listen. but if you still feel the need to get them ive got a set of 2" drop springs sitting in my garage id let you have for 100 plus shipping. originally they were like 150 plus shipping

also with the 4" rear block your only about an inch away from the bump stops so you would have to notch a good bit possibly even cut open the fram and weld in a new section to allow enough space

ah thanks for the advice yeah
i know, i have already removed my bump stops in the rear so thats not an issue
but i plan to eventually bag so cutting it up isnt an issue for me!
just gonna go as low as i can, however i can! until i get the funds to get started on bagging my truck.

i didnt know about the 2" springs.
i'm glad you told me about that, i've been thinking about getting the drop ball joints by belltech
not sure exactly what i'm gonna do yet tho lol

but i do greatly appreciate you telling me about the 2" springs.

People on here have ran a 5/7 before. DJM control arms with 2" coils up front. DJM is just protecting their ass. PM rrcn. He ran that setup for a while. The fact that the springs are the exact same size as stock does not matter. Thats why there is something called spring rate. Once installed the springs will settle much more than the stock ones. Personally i would go with belltech 2" springs over the DJMs.

You can get the belltech leafs here:

http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?category|category_root|-30=Suspension&category|cat_-30|373=Lowering+Parts&canned_results_trigger=&partfamilyid=3346

The belltech balljoints will not work witht the DJM control arms. Never seen anyone try it one here because they said it wouldn't work.

Good luck with the future lowering and I'm torn between baggin my colly and just buyin a truck that's already bagged and saving 4g but I'll let u know if I bag it
