Auto Start/Stop Eliminator for 3rd gens - Need a volunteer in WV.

I reached out to AutoStop Eliminator about the new 3rd gens and if they had plans to make a splice device to permanently disable the Auto Start/Stop. They sent me an email same day:

"New products depend on the vehicles people bring us.

We could probably work with you to make a device if you want to bring the vehicle to Fairmont, WV for a day. We'd do it for free and pay you $300 for your time because we could then offer the device for sale to others. We don't need to drive your vehicle and you could stay with your vehicle the entire time. It usually takes about 8 hours to put together a prototype and test it. Let me know if you're interested.

Or, some vehicles have come to us because someone posted on forums/Facebook/social media and found someone with the same vehicle closer to us and they brought the vehicle to us. Just throwing that out in case you participate in the forums and can help us and help yourself get the device sooner by getting someone to bring us a vehicle. Otherwise, I'll let you know if/when a device is made available.

So, anyone in Fairmont, WV want to make $300 for a days time of simply dropping your new 3rd gen off?

I am hoping that the eliminator that temporary reads "hood open" for the '22 Traverse works on the Z71 as well. Its GM parts bin so I doubt they have that many sensors/plug types that work with current software. Will try it out, if/when I get the truck for sure:)
Pretty wild that they can prototype & test one of these in just 8hrs with an example vehicle to try, and without driving it.

It's usually just a plug and play splice device, so really all they are doing is testing wires and the device remains in whatever constant state that is needed to keep the auto start stop in the same setting you chose, rather than resetting it every time you turn off the truck. For them it's probably as simple as taking something they already have made and finding the correct wires, then designing it to be plug and play. Most of them plug under the seat or near the pedals.

My auto stop/ start hasn't even been working in my truck. I verified that it's on but it never stops the engine at lights.

Wonder if they connected the disable switch backwards.😁

That’s the best kind of Auto Stop/Start! Less problems that way.

Yeah, your right but I'm sorta interested in why it's not working.
If the GM system works like the Ford system, you can plug in a led night light on your 120 volt interior outlet and that prevents the auto start/stop system from shutting the engine off at stop lights.

Ford shuts off when trailer is plugged in. Walmart sells a plug. Or used too.

Hell, I'd find one on a lot, "test drive" it for half a day and make $300. Bring it back and go "yea it's not what I was expecting" lol.

Not that any actually exist on a lot right now.... or possibly within the first 3 years...
Thats a nice little drive for me. My TPW is this week. We'll see when my truck gets here if the auto stop annoys me enough. If it does, I would be interested (y)

Ahh... an early one, lol. 5/29 here. Next week it'll be 6/29, a week later 7/29....

More electronics. More things to break down.

There have been complaints of vehicle not starting at a red light. Or stop sign.
