Just cover it or would the antennae be in the way? I have a stubby jr and the reception is slightly worse than factory but not enough for me to worry about.

Depending on what rack it may fit...

I carry paddle boards on a Thule rack and I changed out to a Stubby antenna, the boards fit fine

Didn't notice any difference in reception

Antenna - Singular
Correct.

And while it looks funny in the title Antennae is technically correct since there is more than one antenna in there.

Dammit... I'm usually the grammar nazi and pmuch got nazi'd myself. I'd like to blame that on autocorrect, but sadly that wasn't the case.

Antenna - Singular
True when referring to insects in the US, generally. The word antennas is correct when referring to devices that send signals, for example the antennas on your truck or the antennas on a cell site.
