I purchased my 2021 Canyon AT4 at the end of November. The cap was installed today. It's finished!

Add-ons:
-> Windows tint: 2 front sides 35%, 2 rear sides 20%
-> Front Splash Guards in Black (GMC Accessories)
-> Rear Splash Guards in Black with GMC Logo (GMC Accessories)
-> Crew Cab Door Moldings in Black (GMC Accessories)
-> Crew Cab 5-Inch Rectangular Assist Steps in Black (GMC Accessories)
-> Short Bed Sliding Bed Tray by BEDSLIDE (GMC Accessories)
-> Century High C Max Truck Cap (Dinges Auto Sales & Accessories, Belleville)

GMC Accessories was running a sale for 25% off accessories, so I ended up going with them for most everything. I added the door moldings because the truck seemed plain. I think they were worth it.

Dealer installation came with the GMC Accessories and it was reasonable ($183) and I was able to get the 25% discount on the Bedslide. GM Acessories are covered for 3 years 36K miles if installed at dealer. Total was $1,860 + tax.

I got the Century High C Max Truck Cap at a dealer in my town. It's a family run used car business that's been around for 60 years. They also sell truck caps. The owner actually does the installations and their prices are very reasonable compared to the bigger dealers. Total for the Cap was $3,132 + tax.

Century High C Max Truck Cap - $2299
-> Removable Front Slider Window (coupon - $125) - $0
-> LED light bar with Gas Prop switch - $99
-> Thule® Tracker II Roof Rack System - Includes Locks - $450
-> Keyless Remote - $169
-> Cargo hooks - $0 (He threw them in no cost - $85 regular)
Total with Options: $3,017
Wiring Harness: $75
Installation: $40
Total Installed: $3,132

The Thule Rack will be installed next week. The part needed to attach the racks to the rails was missing.

So far, I really like this truck. It replaces an 2009 Tailblazer that I had owned since new. I hope this truck gives me 11 trouble free years like the Trailblazer!

If you don’t mind, follow up with your mpg performance after the cap. I’m considering one down the road but can’t afford a huge mpg hit because of how far I drive to work every day.

I would, but I have no real pre-cap data. I have had very little highway driving so far, mostly short trips around town. I've had it since Nov 30 and barely have 1400 miles on it!

I think it may help or break even tho. The tailgate does create some drag. A cab height cap or Tonneau cover may do better gas for gas mileage vs the High cap or nothing.

I actually get better mileage since I put it on. Not alot better but definitely no worse.

Nicely equipped. I really like our BedSlide, use the heck out of it not just for camping supplies but also for hauling stuff like pavers. Just watch your fingers when you go from fully extended to sliding it in (not enough clearance to tailgate!). I would say the only downside of caps and the BedSlide is they use up part of the payload capacity.
