You are correct, I could have bought it online cheaper, but I wanted to install it that day. Wether someone pays $26 or $40, it’s still cheaper than what a dealership would charge for the part. And the validation comes with replacing it yourself and saving $200-$250 in labor costs for 20 minutes worth of work.The price of $40 is pretty expensive for an aftermarket valve, when the factory AC Delco is about $26.
I definitely appreciate the info, I had no idea they could do that.In case you are not aware, any of the auto parts stores can get AC Delco parts from their warehouse in a few hours, but need payment up front. Just thought I would let you know in case you ever want factory parts. I have done it many times, at Oreilly , Carequest, Advance, etc.
