  1. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
I ordered a Trifecta Advantage + tune. I had heard Trifecta's customer service both praised and strongly criticized, from a number of different posts around this site. Before I ordered, I had a couple questions and was a little disappointed to see that they don't have a simple contact phone...
  2. WoolWax or Ziebart?

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
I got an undercoating done at Zeibart's as well. I think I paid roughly $350 or so, but the best part is you can bring it back every year and they will re-do it for free!
  3. Ditch light bracket with light bar

2nd Gen Electronics, Audio, and Lighting
I don't think it would be to difficult to make ditch light brackets work for mounting a full light bar. I made my own ditch light brackets, and one thing I didn't really think about, until I actually got out to my truck to make them, was the need for clearance of the lights when you open the...

Here is the forum I saw about tonneau covers and racks: https://www.coloradofans.com/forums/169-2nd-gen-appearance-body/404251-roof-ladder-rack-tonneau-cover-combos.html
  5. Ladder rack suggestions

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
Here is something similar to what I want. It's nothing that out of the ordinary, I just don't want it way up at full size truck height. I have seen people with headache racks designed to protect the back of full size trucks on their mid size rides, and it looks ridiculous in my opinion. Not to...
  6. Ladder rack suggestions

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
I'm not completely sure I know what you mean. I would love to see a picture if you have one. I have seen Thule's trac-rac system and their cantilever attachment thingy. I don't think their cantilever attachment would stick out very far over the cab and ideally, I would like to have the front...

  8. Ladder rack suggestions

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
I have be doing some research, trying to find a (preferably steel) ladder rack. I want it to come up over the cab, to maximize the span that I can carry. Most of the crossbars on the racks I have found so far are very tall and sit way high (like a good 6" above the cab). I would like to find...

Installed my 589 Fabrications shock skids. Install was as easy as it seems. I didn't even have to jack my truck up to do the work. I went with some flashy red paint, so I probably gained a few horsepower too! Now I just need a full set of skid plates to match.
  10. Looking for pictures of stock Colorado with 2" Spacers

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
Sorry, I just saw your post after I posted my second reply. I haven't noticed any ware or play in the bearings (I just had the truck in the air a couple weeks ago and checked then). I didn't do an alignment after installing the spacers. The two alignments I did, were done after I installed the...
  11. Looking for pictures of stock Colorado with 2" Spacers

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I have had the spacers and level for just over a year, and have had absolutely no issues. I have had two different alignments done since installing them and was told it was very easy to get dialed in. The truck also had no problem passing inspection with either of the items installed. Make sure...
  12. Unistrut Rail Along Bed Walls

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I bought 20' of unistrut, because I wanted to not only put a couple rows on each bed side, but I also planned on mounting some around the outside of my toolbox as well. If the bed begins to look to much like an erector set, I may not install quite so...
  13. Unistrut Rail Along Bed Walls

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
So I just ordered some unistrut and hardware today, with the intentions of doing something very similar. I'm sure I can improvise if necessary, but did you need to space the strut out, away from the interior of the bedside, or did you just bolt it flush to the bedside? I suppose it depends on...
  14. Unistrut Rail Along Bed Walls

    2nd Gen Appearance & Body
I did the same thing with the large washers when I made a Rotopax mount and Hi Lift Jack mount in my bed. I was very pleasantly surprised, when I accidentally dropped the hardware into the hole on the bed side, that it conveniently feel right down onto the ground, under the bed, rather than...
  15. Seat covers

    2nd Gen Interior
I have Coverking Tactical seat covers. They are ballistic nylon and are super tough. They fit a slight bit looser than some other stretchy seat covers, despite being a custom fit, but this is since there is no real stretch to the nylon .

Yeah I really liked the look of the stock seats, but I didn't want to risk tearing them. Cover King also included a second set of head rest covers that was too small for the front headrests and too large for the rear ones. I'm not really sure what they are for, but to be fair, I'm not really...
  17. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
I installed my new Cover King "tactical" seat covers. I kept hearing about people tearing the side of their seats, from getting in and out of the truck, so hopefully these will help. They seem like good quality and are custom made for our seats, but like any seat cover, seem to be a very...

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
I finished fabbing up some brackets to mount my new 50" light bar to the roof. It's attached to some super strong magnets I got off Amazon, so I didn't need to drill any holes through the roof. Tomorrow I will finish painting them and wrap up the rest of the wiring. *The paint dried and I...
  19. Guys, I found the perfect muffler swap for the 3.6L

2nd Gen Engines and Technical Discussion
Looks awesome! Is it welded in or did you clamp it? Also, forgive me because I haven't climbed under my own truck to look, but how is the clearance for everything? Is the muffler sitting totally flat or did you have to kick it up on its side to get everything to line up. Also I see Flowmaster...
  20. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
Haha. Yeah I did the same thing. It took me a couple hours and a piece of sheet metal laying on the floor of my garage, to make my brackets. I think they look exactly the same as the ones online and are even a bit tighter fitting to the truck, but a long lasting powder coat finish sure would...
