  1. Biggest Tire size w/o lift

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I'd skip those wheels and buy a wheel with a +20 or less offset. Avoid using spacers if you can. Without longer wheel studs you can't fit a .25" wheel spacer. A .75" Bora spacer with studs is doable but you'll have to cut the factory studs or they'll poke through the spacer and hit the back of...

I hate baking headlights. :) Nice work.
  3. Tire insurance

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
Had that happen driving through Tahoe (south shore) in town. A large piece of glass cut straight through the shoulder tread. Likewise a stick went through the sidewall of my 4mo old E-load Wildpeak while on the trail. Neither were repairable. Stuff happens....
  4. New Android Auto

2nd Gen Electronics, Audio, and Lighting
I've noticed when I lose cell reception Pandora switches to Amazon audio. It used to switch to a Pandora playlist I have downloaded on my phone. Now it switches to Amazon regardless if I have the Pandora playlist downloaded or not. That sucks!
  5. Tire pressure for Nitto Terra Grappler G2

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I use large sidewalk chalk to check for proper tire pressure. Using the TPMS display I have an even footprint at 29-35psi which is 32-38psi on a gauge. That's with an E-load 285/70/17 Wildpeak on a 9" wheel. Do the chalk or water test and see what works best for your setup. Somewhere in the...
  6. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
There are a ton of options all over Amazon. I have one from OneTigris but do a search for MOLLE seat back organizer. They also have sun visor MOLLE which are nice.
  7. The Mountains are calling......

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
The mountains are always calling me. :) Nice photos! Good idea on playing it safe. Snow can make trails quite trecherous and when solo it's better to play it safe.
  8. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
I used it to bring home landscaping materials and plants. Then with all of the unseasonal rain and snow falling in the Sierra I made a meme. :smilingimp:
  9. Winching and Off-Road Recovery Basics

    2nd Gen Off-Roading
Definitely! I see this as a last ditch effort. That @589FAB skid plate support brace would be helpful in a situation like this. :)
  10. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
That's the first time I've seen anyone running the Rubitrek (exclusive to select tire retailers) in here. Curious to hear your thoughts after 10k miles or so. They look good.
  11. Freedom Off-Road Front Upper Control Arms for 2-4" Lift

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I sent them a message out of curiousity. I really need UCAs but can't afford Icons and frankly, I like testing budget oriented gear. Not everyone can afford the Gucci gear.
  12. Goodbye Coloradofans

For Sale - WTB - Business Sales
    Wish you the best!
  13. Shackle theft protection

    2nd Gen Off-Roading
That would suck when you actually need to use them.
  14. What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

2nd Gen Chevrolet Colorado Forum / 2015 GMC Canyon
Took her out exploring. Stayed a night at a random road side campsite near Union Valley Reservoir then met up with a group from OverlandBound and we headed up the Tahoe side of the Rubicon and camped at Richardson Lake for the weekend. Pics coming. Not a bad spot to camp. View from the tent...
  15. Stripped wheel studs - Don't be like me

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
Thanks man. I noticed they were very close but I'm no engineer so I wasn't sure if the tiny difference in knurl was critical or not. Good to know it's not. :) At this point I won't be using the 7mm spacers because I don't like the lack of hub contact for the wheels. I may put a pair of 1" Bora...
  16. Eibach pro lift Stage 1, more lift than expected. What did you get?

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I was going to say give it a few hundred miles of driving a check it again. It's likely your oem springs were sagging a bit and/or the new springs just need to wear in. This assumes you were running the same tire pressure during both measurements as well.
  17. Tire insurance

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
Depends on how hard you wheel and how expensive your tires are. :) A 33"+ set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers or similarly expensive tire at $250+/ea makes the certs more attractive. A set of 35s or 37s make the certs really attractive. I just replaced one of my Wildpeaks with a cert. I never...
  18. Overlanders Post Here

    2nd Gen Off-Roading
1st Gens are welcome in here too. Overlanders don't decriminate. :)
  19. The Before and After

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
I agree with @asesino ! Aftermarket UCAs will help with ride quality and travel but I still wouldn't recommend going over 2.7" lift in these trucks. The sweet spot for most IFS trucks is 2" with 2.5" being the max most would recommend. But 2.7" looks pretty sweet so there's that. :devilish:
  20. Suspension alternatives to the DSSVs??

2nd Gen Tires, Wheels, and Suspension
King 2.5 or Fox 2.5 with resis would be the next best thing. I would make sure to have them custom tuned. Accutune and FilthyMotorsports do that as part of the purchase.
