I've got a 2011 3.7l 4x4 with 102,000mi... no complaints really, just regular maintenance. I would have a mechanic look it over maybe. Check out suspension/steering components for wear and tear and check for rust
3rd brake light has a notorious reputation for leaking on 2004-2012 models. First thing I did after I bought my truck was run a bead of clear silicone along the top and down the sides. I just used whatever I had in the garage.
Lol yeah I stick around to moderate and answer what few 1st gen questions come around... feel free to stick around here but there isn't much 1st gen activity here... much on the nation either, not like the old days
Careful with those Ebay lights... some are good, some are crap. Some require some cutting to make them fit. If the 3rd brake light doesn't have a built in resistor you'll probably need to add one or your cruise control wont work
Front brakes can be a pain and expensive if the rotors need replaced. Had a shop quote me around $800 for front brakes with rotor replacement. I just did it myself.
The hub has to come off to get the rotor off on both 2wd and 4wd... 4wd just has the axle nut as extra work. Separating the hub...
If you have a complaint about moderators(you realize I'm pretty much the only active one left on this forum) then feel free to message an admin and push for change.... I personally have not cracked down much on repeat questions in the past couple of years because that would take a large amount...
Ahh... exaggeration at it finest. 47 pages and one useful piece of info.
I'm sure this and just about every other forum out there will change because of this thread and no one will argue anymore
Yep a thread like this every every couple of months... because there is always someone who wants...
You need to calm down dude... dont like it here feel free to move on yourself. Dont think anyone here is offended except you. You're not going to change anything with this thread... in fact you'll probably make it worse. Take your own advice and ignore what you dont like
