Glasspack advice

I’m looking to put a glass pack on my 07 4 cylinder. Which one would y’all suggest to give me a deeper throatier sound? I’m trying to find one that gives me a little more power and better fuel economy while not sounding like a ricer if at all possible lol. All feedback is appreciated thanks in advance.

When I tried out a used 2011 Colorado it had a Magnaflow muffler, sounded good while sales guy was driving it up but way to loud for me and the wife inside.

I was feeling nostalgic, but for the 70s.

Ah! the 60's being 74 how well I remember the glasspack mufflers. There were two ways to really make them rumble. 1-drive car till they were really hot and spray garden hose on them to break up the glass. 2-which worked the best get them hot and pour buckets of ice water on them.

Breaking In A Glasspack

Naw.....we'd just find a steep hill, put it in second gear, and then just turn the key on and off a couple of times while it coasted down the hill, backfiring as it went........Ah, the memories.

Take it from another old guy . . . . No way a 4 cylinder engine deserves the wannabe ricer sound! It just ain't right!
Like they said in the 70's (60's?) " Just don't fake it baby"!!!!!

Yup forgot about that one Roy W. have done that to. Also fill it full of oil before putting it on. Takes a little longer but that oil getting hot breaks the glass right up. (exhaust smokes for a little bit but not long)

Need a V8 for correct glass pack usage. Best sounding glass pack exhaust I have ever heard was a 69 Chevelle with 327 and manual transmission. On a clear night, we could hear it several blocks away when he let off the gas in second. Not much for top end speed but a lot of take off speed. Don't remember what it had for a rear end gear ratio. Probably a 4:10. Glass packs don't belong in a 4 cyl. and probably not a V6 either. Our stock V6 exhaust sucks big time as it is. Fellow workers think I have a 4 banger with a V6 emblem on the back the way it sounds when it starts in the parking lot.

I had Thrush mufflers behind my Hooker headers coming out of my 440 cu in that I dropped in my 1974 short bed Power Wagon,
down shift that puppy and you could hear it for miles

Pulled the ole slant six out and all I had to change was motor mounts and bell housing.

Think movie "Thunder Road" those Ford flathead V8's with glasspacks. My flathead V8 beat up 51 Ford wasn't fast but oh my! the terrific sound of those glasspacks. Makes me feel young just thinking of the deep rumble. Bad ass!
