Grill Guard with tow hooks

I am a long time Toyota guy who has just got myself a 2018 Colorado 4X4 ext. Cab. Now I would like to remove the air dam and add a brush grill. I was looking at Westin- but I see that per their instructions that you can not install the tow hooks back once the grill is in place. Does anyone recommend a grill that I can still have the tow hooks? I'm working on make this new truck mine and starting to add a few things..

well most of the grill guards out there USE the tow hook mountings to support itself, ergo tow hooks become unusable. there are hidden bumpers out there that have integrated tow hook locations, check out 589fab or midwestoverland.

I have a Westin bull bar model 32-3645. The hooks can remain in place with a little effort. My hooks are still there but if I were to use them I would likely damage the bar or the skid plate in the front at the very least. At least I would have that option if i needed to. I know that the Go Rino bull bar can be installed with the hooks remaining as well. Don't know if you are interested in the bull bar or a whole grill guard though. Hope this helps.

I have the Steelcraft guard. The lower brackets mount through the tow hook location but still retains the tow hooks. It's hard to see in this pic but they're there. I'll try to remember to take a better pic.

I have the Westin Sportsman and you are correct, you cannot reinstall the factory tow hooks. But you can install the Westin ones and IMO they are easier to get to and more useful:

Got mine on Amazon:

I wonder if they've changed anything because I have a Westin Sportsman and was able to retain my hooks. Granted, I don't have the winch plate.

Interesting, I didn't even try to reinstall them. I don't think they would help much now that I have the aftermarket ones, but I wonder if they could be reinstalled. I may have to try it.

I also went with the Aries p4088, Kept the original tow hooks, Took off the air dam. Now trying to rig up a step-up between the rear tire and the cab so I can reach into the bed of the truck..

Do you think Gill needs Tow hooks?
If I see him at Comicon I'll ask him.
