Whistle sound from passenger window

So today I had the windows half way down and when I get up to 50mph, I get a whistle sound from the passenger window. It gets louder the faster I go, very annoying. Has anyone else experience this?

Yep. Complained to the dealer and they were able to reproduce it on another Colorado in the lot so they said it's "normal". It drives me nuts. I'm pretty sure it has to do where the drain hole is, but haven't had a chance to really test it.

I hate how they say it’s “normal” what other car does that lol. I thought it was just strong winds but today there wasn’t much wind and it loud. It sounds like it’s coming from the window/ side mirror, hard to locate where it’s coming from.

Same issues.. cross winds blowing against the vehicle while driving make it worse

Cars today are very sensitive to open windows due to aerodynamics.

Many vehicles with 4 doors can not have a rear window open as the vehicle tapers as the roof line goes back.

It makes the rear window act like blowing over a bottle and creates a throbbing sound that can be painful to your ears in some cases.

It is not like the old days of 4 60 air conditioning in a 4 door hard top.

Today some open conditions are just not user friendly anymore

Same here, passenger side only. There must be some slight variance between passenger and driver window/mirror design to get this whistle only on one side

Yep. When I had taken it to the dealer, one of the things that they mentioned was that the passenger mirror is angled differently than the driver one.

If you're sensitive to that sort of noise, it can drive you insane. I can hear it even with the windows up sometimes.

I haven't heard it with the windows up, but it does prevent me from driving with the windows down on the highway. I prefer the fresh air to a/c so its an annoying situation.

Add me to the list. And yes, I definitely hear it with the windows up and I AM the type of person to be driven nuts by this sort of thing, lol.
I'm not 100% positive but I think mine does it on both sides of the truck, at least it sounds that way. Maybe I'll fold both mirrors inward on my way home to see if that changes anything. I'm determined to figure it out because it is not "normal" in spite of what the stealership says
