Not sure if it's over but GM was giving $3k rebate last week when I bought my All Terrain ..after negotiation ,was able to to get it for $33k+taxes.

Test drove the Ranger (Lariat), 'Rado ZR1 and Canyon (SLT) and of course the 'mighty' Taco. Taco still has "hunting' syndrome with their 6 speed and interior is really bland/outdated compared to Ranger and the twins. I was fully set on ZR1 but got a solid deal on the All Terrain and rest is history.

I brought home a bouncing baby ZR2 on Friday and couldn't be happier with my choice so far. Now, off to add some things and start building an overlanding rig. :)

I’m getting me one this year for sure . I got a 13 year old Silverado definitely ready for something new. I would love to see a push button start , electric rear window, maybe a electric running board option. I would say my biggest wish would be 10 speed transmission and turbo might be nice. Well tell me what you guys think.......

The second they offer a ZR2 CC/LB I'll buy one. Until then, I'm good with what I've got.

So Chevy is headed in the right direction. Make trucks people want. The diesel in 2016. They added the ZR2 in 2017. The Bison in 2019. For 2020 they should add a trim with the GM performance lift.

I would to see a single cab or plug cab with a 5 foot bed. Something smaller. I know that it never happens.

I'd definitely wait for and order a '20 if it had the 3.6 with the 10 speed. That's really the only thing "missing" for me. But that's a stretch. But I'm short, so most things are for me.

Still no new information on the 2020 models that I'm seeing. Not hoping for much if any change at this point, but dang, even if it was nothing more than the 10 speed that would be great. But I just don't see it....hope I'm wrong!

Once I see something...anything concrete, I plan to post it up here. Hopefully someone else will beat me to the punch lol.

Would have been nice to have a dead pedal and power mirrors on the base Canyon V6 4x4. I hate leaning across the Canyon with my t-rex arms to push the mirror down to see how close I am to the curb.

I haven't bought one yet but have followed every published write up on all the midsize trucks for more than a year now. Hands down the twins are the midsize to buy, however there's no way I would buy the V-6 as long as GM persists in using the 8 speed. Since my choice would be the diesel the 8 speed wouldn't be an issue. What I can't understand is why the hell doesn't GM use the 10 speed they designed in conjunction with Ford. Ford is using the 10 speed in many of their trucks including the Ranger up to the high torque F-150 3.3 diesel.

So, it was revealed today that the 2020 Camaro (with the 3.6 V6...very similar to the V6 in our trucks) gets the 10 speed automatic.

This could be a GOOD sign that the 2020 Colorado and Canyon will also. Lets cross our fingers!

Not sure if this means anything for the Colorado / Canyon or not, but GM has recently been in talks about a 1 Billion dollar investment in the GM Wentzville plant (where these trucks, along with the Express and Savanna vans are built)

https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...699ee1526.html

I doubt re-tooling the plant for the next gen trucks costs quite that much money (not sure?) so I can't come up with a good reason for such a large investment.

A former employee that now visits here mentioned they were finally going to upgrade the painting facility as the paint facility was quite old and had quality issues that a few can attest to here.

Cost a lot of money to go to the carbon fiber bed and to the electric motor on these trucks.

(Let's start that rumor in the Mill and see where it leads.)

Id love to see the new Silverado front end in the colorado. I like how the canyon looks like a Sierra and wish the Colorado looks more like a Silverado. And since the front end is based off a Silverado maybe with the Silverado update they will update the Colorado

Just my opinion....but....

Please no...most opinion I've seen/heard do NOT like the looks of the 19 Silverado...except for perhaps the High Country model.

As for the Sierra....if they want to make a new Canyon look like a baby 2019 Sierra, similar to how the Canyon looks like a baby 14 Sierra, I'd be ALL for that. I really like the 19 Sierra and the Denali is just sexy.
