[QUOTE=applewoodsb;5097789]I did a solo trip from West Virginia to Colorado in my 2016 wt Colorado and did ten hour days driving and felt seats were great. I never got tired. 63 yr old 58. Had a 2018 Tacoma as a loaner for two weeks while my 2003 Tacoma was getting a free frame change. It still has the terrible seating position that they have always had. Was ready to get out after a two to three hour trip.

I did an 800 mile round trip in my ZR2 with the leather seats last week, and it was the most comfortable I've been on that trip. The seats feel hard when I first sit down, but they don't feel that way as the day wears on. They are way better than the ones in my old Tacoma or my wife's Wrangler.

I have an 18 canyon SLT and I find the seating passable but the lower cushion is a bit short and narrow and the side bolster presses on my wallet. If I'm driving any distance I take my wallet out of my back pocket and put it in the console box.

I'm your size and so for have no issues with my '18 Z71. I had all cloth in my 07 Tacoma and put in Wet Okoles which made it much better. Thinking I may not have to do this for my Colorado.

At first the seats bothered me alot. Sat on a towel when I drove NJ to FL. it was horrible. Either my Fat Ass has adjusted or the seats broke in cause they don't bother me any more. Have done some 6 and 10 hours trips since and been pretty much fine. I'm a Big boy at 5'10 and 280+

I happen to really like the seats in my 2016 Z71. I actually love how stiff they are for my back. When I first got the truck, the seat felt weird until I adjusted it lower and then I was set. I am 6'2'' and 190 so it does fit tall people good sometimes. I think the seat is a lot nicer than my 2007 Colorado Z71. They are definitely a lot nicer than the new Tacomas I test drove. I like them a lot and take long trips up and down the east coast.

I find the seats in my Canyon SLT to be pretty good, but they are not the most awesomely comfortable - that title goes to my friend's Tundra. I drove from Moab to my home in Colorado (375 miles) and while tired at the end, my butt did not feel like it was going to explode. In contrast, I rode passenger from CO to TN and back to CO in my buddy's Tundra, never once felt tired or sore. I wanna go full redneck and get a set of those Tundra seats from a salvage yard and bolt them into my home theater room

Another friend rode with me in my Canyon to and From CO to UT and pronounced the seat to be more comfortable than his Land Rover.

I am 5'3", i find myself trying to slide towards the center of the seat.I wish it was a tick wider, also, id like to be able to adjust the front of the seat bottom down. otherwise, the seats are great. I wonder how hard it would be to modify the motor and switch to make it adjust like the 2019 model?

My only real gripe about my 2018 Canyon Denali are the seats. I had a 2015 Canyon SLT and the seats were just fine, but my 2018 Denali seats are definitely on the stiffer side.

Just went from a 2017 z71 to a 2019 z71. Seats are fully adjustable now. Problem solved IMHO.

I paid a bit extra for a 2019 due to the want for the 6-way adjustments. The 2018's were ok, but didn't like the rake of the seat front to rear. Or I should say my back didn't. I do better with my knees being lower than my hips. But I myself like the firmness of the seats. I can't stand soft squishy seats. And seats were THE deal breaker on the Tacoma's. Those are badly positioned seats with no room for improvement.

Wow-wonder if they changed? My ‘16 LT with leather has great seats. I’m 6’2”, 210lbs and have had two lower back surgeries. I can’t imagine someone being so against these seats-at least the ones on my truck.

The seats in my '18 ZR2 could be a bit larger and have more tilt adjustability, but I think they're pretty comfortable.

If the seats broke the deal for you, then good luck! I think they still sell Frontiers. Buy a new one of those.

My truck is a 2018 purchased off the lot, not special ordered. So, I wound up getting the cheap seats and they seem great. I often drive 5 hours south and 6 or 7 hours back in same same day for work and find them to be more comfortable than my previous F150 or my CLK Mercedes. I'm 6' tall and 185 lbs. My biggest gripe with the seats is how they so easily get dirty. Granted, it's the light gray [cheap] seats, and... I do have dogs that love to run in mud.

It was a deal breaker so he is back at the Frontier forums if they have one. Probably complaining how bad these seats were in the Colorado.

3 months in and they are now must be getting formed to my big backside. I have the seat set and the hour road trip one way the other day I wasn't in discomfort. Of course still wished it had at least a 6 way base to lower the front. Where I have the height of the seat set I am rubbing the top of the door frame getting in as my neck doesn't bend like it used to. Reason I got rid of the car was partly for that reason. I would still like to somehow shave the hump out of the floor or lower the front of the seat when it is the lowest position than I think it would be more comfortable. If I get ambitious I might look into the mod with the base out of a Buick Encore I read about.
